Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

% {0 ~* l$ k6 }* L•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
% L3 a8 }$ w6 R' e. X•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
" Y' q  c) h( ]8 V5 f•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
( i9 L* n% X# J; ~' u& }: z•        Track and report all warranty failures
; a$ x6 j" A" C5 W9 b/ C; L4 O5 g; ^o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
% a% j& `' P0 F1 s/ J6 I% j- q•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
5 V& [$ `+ e9 }3 No        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
% D$ J0 |- s% H% \* Q) E. V* c8 Y: Ho        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
+ e8 P$ L9 N2 B3 M•        Assist in Sales support & training.
' _0 W+ O: J$ k$ [# @•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
