Scope and Purpose of Job
3 L% T$ W G3 d- @/ f, L0 Q+ V: AEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
( V# ?. J# @! o" A* m oMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
& ?( o- p5 Z$ W1 R1 |" l• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues." x- y/ n# C0 ~( q; d, U
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
" Y+ Q0 A9 P1 r( ]! U• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
, O6 m9 P9 E% N& J5 Z3 }o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release1 G/ K) u! Z* W+ J2 {' _7 `
• Assist where needed in application questions.* r5 P- f2 t# ~
• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
" w! T ?8 ]' K* Z2 \, N ?o New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures* `1 p% d. g6 d* ^2 _
o Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed

* o8 H6 A% @$ T! h4 eo Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.

6 ~ ?+ z* d; E B5 Z" P• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
* w/ R3 U; F5 ]3 c& A: zo Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
( n3 `* d7 W+ Lo Assist in information gather for any new product idea.6 D6 S/ k4 N5 b
o Assist in writing and new product specification
+ N2 E/ g% @+ Z/ ?1 G( |( W2 [3 jo Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
& U4 P' \$ Z6 b$ Ko Act as technical applications expert on development team.6 A& Y1 b9 v2 k
• Assist in Sales support & training.
/ A1 o- G' m. s3 g7 C0 A• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
/ A6 Z/ [( Q9 N9 R5 B- D3 V8 Ro In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers

• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.7 }" R# b. Y* b
• Background knowledge of dispensers and software , B- {% g0 j: s
• Proficient in software use and writing.

• Ability to travel worldwide.
