Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job5 B% v9 F3 g" n) L) {. j
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
. f# k# H1 S. ~1 W. C6 eMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities3 k1 |) d  s4 c0 J' m+ `4 ^% A
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
  |9 j! T& z9 d•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.7 M+ @8 L: y4 f6 p" }0 s* B
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
5 \- C' Q" b, @6 k  u' @+ do        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release# ?" Z8 r/ s' F" w7 h
•        Assist where needed in application questions.1 V* `( p! O% a$ d3 L, R' F
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.8 N2 D$ {9 C; J/ |
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
: W9 ^* T- Y! m/ do        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
/ e5 L$ ?2 R4 k. j  ^•        Track and report all warranty failures# V% i- m/ n3 q% f/ i" n  b) W. [
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier./ u3 [' g7 H; B" k, x9 o
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.2 T/ W8 X3 @4 c' n
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.

o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.- z; ?- S  V: w3 F+ o
o        Assist in writing and new product specification

o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.' C& |- M5 A9 a& {  y* _
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
* ~8 l/ [: g# h- q5 P* U4 V•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
. I' U, |$ S% ~2 {4 R( F5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
- j- H- N8 Q" S( a, ~5 o% WList of Skills/Qualifications       
3 N- q, N& r. l•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.0 R( O  L  _- q% R! B  a5 `
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software 9 N9 S: j3 y9 V' r4 v) T
•        Proficient in software use and writing.7 L' ]& l. o7 q
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
/ |! y4 ?. i' w% w•        Ability to travel worldwide.
7 o% ]3 ]4 E$ N: W3 J$ A& z•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
