Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
% E) \5 c8 n; b9 q$ oMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
9 x5 l. J% E7 @9 y  \% ^2 [•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
. W( R8 j7 m, ^" ]( S- E4 Y7 B•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
/ A# T4 s: t9 }6 b4 X' x•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports

/ m' I6 T  e0 W& Y% X  D3 do        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
# B- G: Y4 f' E2 E•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
1 S  B2 }& r1 }5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
% [( c) |6 Q) M  Z! o( O# G( E•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
