Scope and Purpose of Job% _7 {+ {4 f' J/ ~
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
% E) \5 c8 n; b9 q$ oMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities( H& D; O; N2 W6 B5 b3 o0 y
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
9 x5 l. J% E7 @9 y  \% ^2 [•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
. W( R8 j7 m, ^" ]( S- E4 Y7 B•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems8 f# A  b! `+ p# j- g7 {9 f
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release1 x, T& A/ B# u2 G
•        Assist where needed in application questions.2 B$ y8 ?( }: a8 U
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.% e/ \7 s) v9 ^  M0 X0 j- A
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures# o) y! x  V- S) e  T
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed% o4 K4 v4 p2 ~+ X
•        Track and report all warranty failures, v1 Y1 L/ i3 ]- \
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.3 i: Y( q( |' k+ s0 o8 a  f
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
/ A# T4 s: t9 }6 b4 X' x•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.  m( J* {( v2 e8 ?
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
8 E, h3 ?6 h( U* Z; ko        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
/ m' I6 T  e0 W& Y% X  D3 do        Assist in writing and new product specification5 e: K: F: l3 r! Y
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.) ]' ]' K$ p3 r$ C
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.8 S$ U) r- @! ~+ I% `0 y) k
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.& S# H3 ^5 [7 t% ]/ ~. G' B+ [

•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Proficient in software use and writing.4 a0 [5 t7 N6 W" x
