Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

+ E4 t% Z/ }1 R" G( g. c" QPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. % y* _* R n* ?7 G7 L

Key Responsibilities:
% S3 h0 a- B8 G6 g `3 O• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person/ ?+ {" S. f. U0 \- [% T$ M
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST* {/ N& g; c" F4 {0 x/ t+ e% v& T
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
2 m, i; I: _9 h" l9 l• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
, d" i0 F5 @# h* m• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings% M% Y f- I2 R8 @1 n
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
# d8 g1 \& ^, T# \• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ X; D) I% d4 x4 F4 n9 \, s1 W• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events! y: z. P' z) a' _
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events" o6 G& S/ y: P4 {* y3 e
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean/ d, k: D0 V% F3 q& }
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

: c8 Z. F0 k2 u( u) R( r- jKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
* x5 k1 @4 L& Q% c! I• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
, y7 l9 j0 T6 ~6 G( i• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
8 F" Q4 V1 J$ x, ]( P' F6 }• Good English writing and oral communication skills3 l3 Z9 y; S4 y! r8 f
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately " Z" o+ N# t" M; P
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services
& b( [$ d2 ^$ LQualifications:
' O$ ?& d7 ^# g; M$ s) N• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
* L2 g$ f$ V9 N& a; k• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision- J: o7 v* H- N
