Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker5 Q m2 M2 l6 b# o. x/ G2 H

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
* ]/ D- L9 v4 P4 M6 H• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person+ @( {: h# A& ]& A4 K; v% k3 x! o
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
S) r# B9 `9 q' N• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
8 h0 [# e# h% F* O" @• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
. W; L# {- o3 @) {' P• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings, N/ \, ]& |! I: K
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents2 E2 ?6 `: P. r+ ?& P h. Y
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker0 i" ]9 |) i% u0 P$ w. c. |$ L
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events. f- N6 n( W. X9 O, W+ [) h
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. F) R. h1 N$ E
• Maintain front counter service files

5 K/ W# W* ~: m# PKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:# I' g1 Q" k7 F& D: X, Z
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person0 E* e% x7 p: I% e, D ]
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
, U* w/ \3 Z# R+ h* l# i' t• Good English writing and oral communication skills
9 a" B4 y6 R/ R• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
/ N% P: t+ X) v! b+ ?. A) b% p7 t2 K• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:! `8 J& K" g# n+ @( C; y( n/ H# ~
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
* F0 i/ i- a3 v. ~. ^• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
$ m6 b3 s7 \6 u$ t- p' _% u• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism2 Y+ q0 U8 ~- m: e
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision/ L0 y4 k6 u) d5 J- B3 G9 K
