Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
' c. {# `# H, Q7 ~Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 ^2 ~" K2 T8 U& l

Key Responsibilities:$ I- n t! [/ y3 l1 m! _
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person/ j) ^) d3 d; }1 e3 K, r
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST8 E: { @2 s# [. u' l
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
; O/ y8 j! m- `) s( ~, s. U1 q+ r; t• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter" B# a# x- O, F8 t
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
, ?+ _& W" M6 n2 {# l• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
. K3 ~: y5 D1 p% {1 F# K9 [5 r• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker ]* s& f5 X3 G' K5 J; Q
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events7 c; u' w; K' f, e9 k5 u
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
$ {( ] x" U% I; U" M. P- F• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
8 D/ p" X: S/ k+ H3 ?- A• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person, d+ J. V4 d6 {$ w# P
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( A7 K1 X/ z8 C- ^
• Good English writing and oral communication skills! V8 S( s1 P& s# o( K
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
- a' _" b0 ~+ t- i+ R; z# Q• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
7 @3 a' B, d0 E! r8 R: n• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:3 b' T" u% }6 y. r! ]7 V5 H; J" S9 l( G
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
( }4 i' o3 C0 b3 [4 n) m• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
3 m/ R3 A7 Q X) \( l5 F• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
/ [5 k9 ]% r# k" ]• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
