Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
B# h8 Q# N2 j' S/ T3 t3 ^• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST* _3 Q( ]* g7 C8 U) f. h
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
# l0 m" M" `# a+ S* Q/ G• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
1 ]$ U o& m' k [ t+ D5 w• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
6 V( X) G! }5 o- L0 N% J: W• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 g2 S1 V3 V6 c+ Q/ c# `• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker# p. f5 ]( Z4 |) x0 O1 g' r
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
; n }- `7 W1 x* z9 v F$ T6 f0 [• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events+ v \! i& E1 {/ q
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
9 P) x! K- J8 d4 z* F5 B* h) U; C• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters3 D" o2 W" [* g Y
• Maintain front counter service files+ r6 k/ B% I8 B
• Perform general office duties as assigned

2 @; X3 w$ T0 S4 }/ jKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
" V/ a* y" x% [6 N. V• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person1 d1 @: {: o2 u$ n7 y/ n! [* W0 A
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
! A& }1 @. z; }& J% J• Good English writing and oral communication skills& r! p) e* H4 h( j( d B7 a
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
1 X3 h: @5 e1 }3 G! v• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook# T$ {. Q- ?& ~- |0 F$ _% s
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ; c& r9 J% c4 L" \# Y% m" L1 Q$ Q
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
/ T, |. A. S' J( [2 s. V6 P• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
. L* d [8 N6 n$ {( Y• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment3 R2 n. n K; `! \
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism4 E% h4 y0 ]" ?1 B
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
