T.A.N.G. Youth Program is an educational and activity-based program aiming to equip

interpersonal skills, anger management, personal development,

Each session presents concepts through interactive activities that encourage active discussion and participation.

These activities will enable youth to:

Regular Spring and Fall Group Sessions: runs on alternate Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.9 t" ~2 h% v8 Z2 _' q1 Z
Summer Group Sessions: 2 consecutive weeks in July from 9 to 5 p.m. daily( p, g0 {' |* G$ [5 }
2 consecutive weeks in August from 9 to 5 p.m. daily

Asian youth aged 11 to 15, who are new immigrants or locally born Asian living in Edmonton or surrounding area.2 q# {- N; o1 ~) f( _
! ]4 d0 E% c5 }, oWhat is the cost of joining the T.A.N.G. program?
; V0 Q; ~, b3 O EIt is FREE and space is limited to 15 to 20 participants per group.. {# L% d6 u6 r/ A( t

 Distribute promotional flyers to schools, churches, communities and social services agencies
; f1 k1 U; y8 Z; F J* } Facilitate and/or coordinate activity-based function such as to host a gym day or sport tournaments or workshop on personal growth development 2 |: g6 j. ^3 r+ S* J
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breakers and/or other activities* z2 D6 S+ p0 v% v: |
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions5 y' R5 C2 e- ?9 \* \0 s
 Research activities related to the sessions’ topic+ d) C( u8 m6 n4 o
 Enforce safety rules during program sessions and fieldtrips

 Be a role model

Volunteer Commitment:

+ `+ J' Q* K/ ]) Z On-going volunteers (we have volunteers dedicated themselves to the program for almost 4 years)* X4 Q# r o5 _
 One time volunteers: minimum commitment is one seasonal session, i.e. 8 – 10 sessions in Spring, Fall or Summer
