Position:        Youth Leader
Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)

Duties:
( y/ d* J: l% t2 rTo assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:
& R1 U% j0 R, q7 ]7 e0 G6 J
' `& v9 A; i. l Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
2 B0 b* G; L9 Y3 ~/ O! F+ h: c Provide positive modelling to youth
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
% D- K: _, g" s Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
; }# v& W( n0 R. u$ e' x9 |% { Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
/ v0 w, X' o" [ Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
+ M+ j0 i1 \$ e) ~8 U* o Assist in program planning/design
4 ]) _6 ?5 {8 c( }9 U. K Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
/ }$ q7 R8 C+ E1 L9 q7 m* p Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
+ q, ?' a! j5 k1 `1 D A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
4 B/ n: G5 i6 J! o1 g, L* g& t( i Able to work independently with minimum supervision
 Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
* p% I1 c( O0 t. G; `7 K Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
