( A& w7 v: S; `3 G0 ^SEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.

• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
8 |2 n! c4 [1 l( {" H! ^• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners 4 C3 \: Z( B7 M% C" K
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation 0 r2 U# V$ x- v% a# C
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs $ G4 n+ Q) @6 n l8 V! P* e& \2 o
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits 8 {: |4 z/ i" O8 A' e4 s0 Z3 {
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses # V6 G& q/ N7 ^8 U, O) K
• to work to reduce economic vulnerability in Canada 6 g4 g& G3 x* n+ [+ n
Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
?3 L# i3 l- i! q" w/ o• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada # `& c1 j3 g e+ P* x
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
* {$ _$ H w6 l* J6 |. a• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required 4 s8 q# d2 L1 C) Q( Y% W: ~# x
• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
, t$ l& |& n1 j; d _! [• Working with evaluation and management information systems team , s2 a7 ~& P! \ |4 ^9 J5 G6 l# f
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies & m# [* \1 Z) e |
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
; t }: _6 ]( K J) b" H. d• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
. B. |8 r: g/ Y' Q: `• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports / D( K0 i- o9 [. d" _
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning & k3 g% B; ?. {2 S1 g5 o6 R, ]
Primary Qualifications:
: t3 R3 L5 m [+ ~• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
4 U" }$ ~: f6 t, s! x4 i9 H• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
/ B8 v% B; U1 Y• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training 3 Q- v+ i" k" k0 l% S
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities
^7 B- V& I2 n: |/ A I9 \• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams

• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts , C* c: }9 A9 j/ O" W9 p
• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them & P5 ?4 q; R% L4 T
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc
$ I& e0 S" |8 N5 B B• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education
4 v% z$ r7 C; v• Content / curriculum development experience
: {" }4 h" }$ ?' i6 b1 ?& p, m• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners
' R( k; k& |- J1 S5 D) t1 q• Excellent organizational skills
. Q) b5 x3 g' J9 l• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.
& f4 j" |0 e2 `% T9 {• Ability in French (both written and oral) is an asset
3 V0 j/ ^$ r& J. ?. E% a• Policy research skill set is an asset
