Position: Outreach Worker ( I: |$ U/ L( }# M+ S# A

( X S& N1 y6 B( X( m- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information( T" y9 ~: e) D. E; q* e3 \
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
, J3 ?( b8 u$ d1 R3 j0 P1 T- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP, `8 E; e6 m& @) n; q- k% o
- provide support to ISP staff3 ]6 ]( ]% G6 m1 U9 [ F" `% E' y
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
/ c, g9 B! v7 J3 X0 A- y& p- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
+ X/ y" ~- ~6 l4 U. b! b- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
+ m' r, Y, {3 z/ l) L0 f- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants9 x: X* q) c$ d; L# ~ G
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
) e% \2 H2 `$ E8 L& {: X- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
2 K3 T5 J$ k$ s# C' x- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.9 z" @; T9 T4 c5 Z% M k( u+ ^
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
" m" w- C- _+ e6 N% g/ O- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned! P& k2 G# ^" ?

G2 Q3 U% x0 \6 \8 C; I( |Qualifications
% O+ L$ N d9 |5 a# @- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
7 m6 G$ `' Y' a/ P* T* z3 z3 [- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
/ ^# O8 I4 d5 o; P _- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
: e+ E- S: q) ~/ ^0 E- k! ^+ J- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
% i. }' h) o5 k- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
