Position: Outreach Worker ( H4 K! t; M& m @( F- b
1 R. S# `' {3 q9 o; HJob Description- Y, I. A# [2 o, q
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
( s" r ^; y- L( r3 L( \# ~- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.# \1 s! m9 D4 x7 q9 @+ U
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP2 \. f% z2 k! \1 \- B
- provide support to ISP staff
2 c2 H$ t% }: s7 r: u" M9 R- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
* f% S' i# G4 N# R# X/ ~& ~- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
8 a& N$ H+ d! `7 Z/ D5 c- G- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated+ J" t& g% P& D
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
. b; T5 ?$ \, W' U- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
, o; U: p* b. m4 r" U- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
# m H. x$ u/ R0 s* e( ^/ T; K- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc., ^# U t; y/ k$ X/ L
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
, Z' s! f7 i* Z6 \- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

7 I* N; j9 H1 u; C) w l" Z# FQualifications
* I$ o0 m5 h# F6 y- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered b# v& r0 U- l8 x: I& j
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
: L. {8 P' N+ D1 o9 b0 z- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers& c( y% |" I* z) y
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software$ o; X: U2 P+ q+ \
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)

- valid driver’s license

Salary
