The Human Resources Advisor is a generalist position, responsible for providing a range of support and expertise, enabling management to deliver best practices and human resource solutions which support the business operations of the PCN." j5 X3 N7 U; _2 A4 M/ l: F# s

The key responsibilities of this role is to review and ensure effectiveness of day-to-day human resources functions, includes, but are not limited, to:, F2 k+ J, Q1 k x$ _ @, R
1. Recruitment, Selection and Orientation1 B# |0 \: U% C
• Provide guidance and support for recruitment, sourcing, job postings, screening, interviews, reference checks, and selection practices, as well as job offers5 k% B' z. N" [
• Develop, administer and evaluate applicant tests( q' x l, M1 O) v" b. \
• Ensure job descriptions are kept current
1 ?3 h! |1 u4 \$ g6 d• Manage the new employee orientation and orientation programs
% k2 N. Q7 n. {• Support the administration of probation evaluations for all employees

2. Policy and Procedure; ?+ [0 h2 F! t) r
• Provide recommendations for policies and procedures; when identified as a priority and delegated by the General Manager, develop the necessary documentation and seek approval
3 K6 q O6 s* b1 E f# E% r9 j; K Manage all policies and procedures to ensure consistency, references are correct and there is no duplication or contradictions# L4 ?; H: F* P- s
• Advise all employees, especially Team Leads and Managers, on interpretation and administration of policies, procedures, programs and legislative compliance

3. Performance Management Support
$ ^' V2 C0 p7 R! t( H# {; N• Monitor attendance/absenteeism and assist with the administration of performance management program
& t$ _- G! h2 v, _• Support Team Leads and Managers in the administration of discipline and employee coaching
" z0 C$ F6 m% t. e. g6 T4 m• Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations)( z8 f( B Q, ~$ A1 C- G
• Conduct exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations

7 A/ V4 ^6 o9 ], ~! U9 A) W4 t• Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data – e.g. hires, absenteeism rates, performance appraisals

• Administer and record employee rewards, recognition and incentive programs/ M6 S$ ]5 M# j2 ?
• Manage salary structure and job evaluation system, from time to time, as required

7. Payroll and Benefits

• Administer and educate employees of benefits and maintain a sustainable relationship with insurance providers
+ W+ I3 Q! k( A" E! L8 W• Manage claims for short-term and long-term disability, and ensure effective return-to-work programs

Qualifications & Expertise3 S$ L' R" I& e7 U4 k1 n
 Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR generalist (series of progressive specialist roles will also be considered)
) M1 u$ \( a/ ^/ T \/ o e2 g/ q2 N Minimum 2-year diploma, preferably in human resources or business administration specializing in HR, or related area of study (equivalencies will be considered)5 }6 t; j8 P8 r3 x% I: g
 A CHRP designation is an asset5 o) p& _, Y8 I, i- p
 Experience in the health care industry is an asset
0 {& _3 e2 d+ d6 h Experience managing change is preferred
% W, m: n1 M- n6 o/ x0 i Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Hours of Work & (if any) Special Considerations
