Purpose of Position

The key responsibilities of this role is to review and ensure effectiveness of day-to-day human resources functions, includes, but are not limited, to:6 D& {* c7 O9 s
1. Recruitment, Selection and Orientation9 O% C5 t( L' i
• Provide guidance and support for recruitment, sourcing, job postings, screening, interviews, reference checks, and selection practices, as well as job offers/ o! E: K# E' c; L
• Develop, administer and evaluate applicant tests9 ^8 k- t/ x$ ^! p {# V& z
• Ensure job descriptions are kept current: I: |! p# ~: Z8 x
• Manage the new employee orientation and orientation programs9 ~8 [7 b+ V1 e
• Support the administration of probation evaluations for all employees9 D) A$ }$ G$ y2 k

2. Policy and Procedure
9 \: o8 i6 d* ~- W/ G' R6 l• Provide recommendations for policies and procedures; when identified as a priority and delegated by the General Manager, develop the necessary documentation and seek approval
" x" @) H! y* v8 o% x5 k1 a" O Manage all policies and procedures to ensure consistency, references are correct and there is no duplication or contradictions

3. Performance Management Support4 e( E7 G& h% t8 P9 ~- |8 \
• Monitor attendance/absenteeism and assist with the administration of performance management program, U+ [" Z7 ]% R
• Support Team Leads and Managers in the administration of discipline and employee coaching
* E' }+ j0 D- x0 v- J* [• Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations)# [ m6 j7 r3 Y
• Conduct exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations+ Y& G5 B* U, g3 @' z
• Member of, and responsible for, the Rewards and Recognition Committee+ J& A0 K* A$ i

4. Human Resource Information Gathering
5 K6 b: }( N; M4 x! f7 C! {& N9 h• Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data – e.g. hires, absenteeism rates, performance appraisals
- T& g. l' x { H5 v• Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices! z! l5 e' g# c$ r

6. Job Evaluation, Compensation and Classification
; K0 a. Q4 S( e! V• Administer and record employee rewards, recognition and incentive programs# y* K$ w3 W" ]! ]
• Manage salary structure and job evaluation system, from time to time, as required- E; w7 t) [% r( L3 H' R/ ^: G9 [% }

• Oversee payroll administration and maintain relationship with payroll provider) _3 X) T! j2 Z3 z/ ` r
• Administer and educate employees of benefits and maintain a sustainable relationship with insurance providers

# ?3 [& Z: A* u" N/ k Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR generalist (series of progressive specialist roles will also be considered)4 k0 h6 G6 O4 R. [3 N) B7 O7 H
 Minimum 2-year diploma, preferably in human resources or business administration specializing in HR, or related area of study (equivalencies will be considered)
/ b+ r* P, B2 v! H3 K A CHRP designation is an asset
+ x6 k+ T( l- {! C. t* N Experience in the health care industry is an asset
+ n" E( [6 j v4 X8 E% X. B1 J5 { Experience managing change is preferred2 {. e; z. c3 a5 n# F3 H
 Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
