Resource Room Advisor/Resume Writer+ _  |- @1 Y0 z. o" G
 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.- M9 H5 c! D" O: I
 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.5 h# Y$ g0 M0 l9 S
 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.
3 e) j5 Q5 |1 ?$ J7 W, Z Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

 Update and maintain job boards.

Settlement Counsellor( t, V5 `  k( S# _
 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.
) h) f, D6 @- ~ Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.- Y7 K" W0 d% v& V% T) d# O. H7 c
 Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.
9 c* x4 r! o) K' e+ l) g Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers  n% b  t2 l* n% \6 Y3 {! n
 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
* S" \2 J. A: W- O  G: ?/ `4 }9 V Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.- f' q7 r# z+ [1 M
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

9 I+ l# Z' I/ ] Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.6 k) j4 N% j# o  Y& ^" Q' M
 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.
1 ]# J; t* ~, [/ \( w( ] Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
9 O; ~5 C; s% k8 Z7 T Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.
: P7 `0 C+ ]! H: g3 L5 n. H8 z Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.
0 }0 A. S9 b. a$ x% ~/ L9 k Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.

 Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan1 a( \. S3 H1 q( \* S
 Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment6 c4 R4 g1 k  j6 I% a
 Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada9 T* T& p% E7 P9 w( B9 b
 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants
( \" Y2 ]# w# H9 u/ m& z  R) n- b4 I Complete participant reviews with the participants
. L. B2 M  p- n# N Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion/ _; _  A& Q9 C2 _
