Operating machinery in a safe and effective manner
Providing daily locomotive maintenance that includes changing oil or repairing, replacing, cleaning and adjusting parts
Assembling and starting engines

Good eye-hand coordination
Frequently lifting weights up to 50 pounds

Regular exposure to dust, pollen, fumes, noise and vibrations
Working shifts, sometimes away from home

5 P' ^' _7 o3 R  d+ b% ~May need current, valid drivers license, CDL, and locomotive engineer certification
/ B$ ?' b: H& Z  PVisual acuity and hearing threshold tests are required for this position. Written pre-employment tests to become a Machinist Apprentice are required for this position. Completion of 3-year apprenticeship is required to become a Journeyman Machinist. This position is subject to night, weekend and holiday work hours when needed.
