We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

2 b* N& B4 |: a! H- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

7 Q0 Y% w- m8 q- m- H# K- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

$ _, M! E% T( p+ A( i2 ?- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

  m; u3 m$ O7 A6 K9 t0 ]- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- L  C+ d: g0 ^9 |! h- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

' S1 t% s8 ]0 J( p2 U+ G- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;
