We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

  d5 V6 b, g: t$ SReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

. @9 f, W- B4 c, _. m- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

2 l$ m- E/ ^/ I# ?+ G- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- [. x9 Z% L% S- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

' F8 z' s  O0 T+ X( _* \9 _- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

7 A* ]; m6 i' P5 s: l0 |- E- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

8 v# v' G$ n4 u5 g- N) h8 I- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

7 I/ Q# t6 [2 M; y8 F7 W# Q0 Y- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
