We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

. ~& |! \/ z) DReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

+ B; W5 N& l, \2 L- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

8 q; g- [2 c4 T- s0 e9 W3 |! T) x- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

" R3 z: f1 a- s- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

( s/ E4 H! A3 E- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

1 {' a5 I6 T' w# \4 l* `- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- J# B  N- A% H( U- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
