Shell Canada has confirmed to Mix News that a death has occurred at the Shell Albian Sands Jackpine oil sands mine 75 kilometres north of Fort McMurray.6 p1 |) @& m5 S6 n/ D* r

Emergency crews responded to the scene at around 7:15 am, and the individual was transported to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre where they were pronounced dead.
