Shell Canada has confirmed to Mix News that a death has occurred at the Shell Albian Sands Jackpine oil sands mine 75 kilometres north of Fort McMurray. 4 \' J0 F' f7 R+ c6 J( T6 m ; z7 d' M5 W$ G+ tEmergency crews responded to the scene at around 7:15 am, and the individual was transported to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre where they were pronounced dead.* x; e2 s" L! m) n8 C6 m0 g* ~
