# {5 Q8 f" `% r* _- L8 T Proactively and independently develop initiatives in ethno-cultural communities that 0 F8 z8 v! P1 n+ o* p0 s
increase their capacity to participate fully in the community 7 q4 P$ C- z5 O4 M+ S {
 Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders. 9 l8 @3 _1 J7 }5 A% Z/ d
 Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation- J# E5 P! r P9 a! l4 j
 Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals W m4 d) Z) x% ^" Y$ ?
 Facilitate group processes and workshops
4 l. i& d; M. _' M8 P3 p Advocate for systemic changes that foster full participation of newcomers in the community2 _$ Z( A! D2 x9 s9 }; h5 a; V

 Demonstrated ability to independently develop community initiatives
7 u3 v0 ]# Q0 h Community development and CED background and experience
* Y2 q+ K2 D% o: v% h( T Strong group facilitation skills 6 ]1 D4 Q: O7 W" {, I$ n! `
 Experience supervising staff
# l5 C: d x) q# I& e& O Understanding of cross-cultural issues
; P% e+ I5 P/ u1 d( B, M& ^* t Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills ' i' a1 A6 ?9 M# g1 R/ O0 b% F
 Strong organizational and Program delivery skills. @2 t* b. P- W
! `1 k& Y3 s& o* R3 q* v1 B5 SEducation/technical skills
7 s$ H+ p3 z' k, v( r1 F
5 a* N+ _8 f: C' Y Post-secondary education, B' j9 d5 ?" I% i# C
 Experience/facility with Windows-based computer systems (specifically Windows 95/98/2000, MS Office, MS Word, databases, spreadsheets etc.)

9 y- h4 x( @1 e' `3 u" NSalary range starts at $34,195.
