3 J( d8 d' c+ _) TResponsibilities
 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
/ p; w2 X1 }7 R; B' [4 s9 z9 J0 ~ Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
8 N% U3 J6 N- n% F Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
( E5 R4 T' W& U! H( G/ ^) u Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
  E7 J( S- d$ H; z; {6 Y Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
4 C" ]2 ?) B& Y% r- s3 D Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
/ m1 \# m6 G, P$ T- Q5 Z Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
