, X) _  Q& o5 x1 HResponsibilities
  _& c5 A* X/ \ Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
+ s% R# K# ]$ v8 G Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
7 |% n4 g' N$ ~: ? Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
, C  `* r! y  o' \7 q Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

0 F# {1 R4 l+ b. z- r' K- ]9 iQualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
, g/ }4 u& U6 I! n! X% K Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
) l7 |1 ~6 K" B7 ]2 V* d Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
9 X& z) k% k9 O; d5 X Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
" o4 y  c! {; _9 J  a0 P Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
) P% j* _; I8 c3 d Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
