 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
' ^" q# r. f2 s9 F3 D Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
' o" X5 t: b2 L Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
! |' u! E1 D! k/ \2 b: s! x Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
8 D( \$ q5 N* x" h0 A Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
' m& V, G) K0 T6 E Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
$ T- S& g% m/ b Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
' Q* m4 x  c$ x7 Z& c1 E Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
* |  a2 J: I# G& g' g4 _/ x0 b Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
/ m( q) f8 j: h  ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
