6 b0 H; N5 j4 U9 T" S/ O3 D Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
$ k; V: w2 ?! Y2 X Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
4 S; D6 ]3 k% g Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
$ }7 Z; @% x0 y  {- y6 N Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
* M+ u: |+ n, J2 V6 a5 W4 Z, F" V Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
# x" _5 ], ]2 c  G$ Y" b Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
3 V5 s8 K7 u: p/ L& x1 p2 B7 k Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
3 \' v& @! K( i, @5 K$ m; U Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
