3 [' v. B5 S; t* s2 K9 @, B/ X& bDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
9 K' C$ J2 o" ~Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
# a; ~6 Z6 H8 p  L9 nPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
8 i# F( n2 e2 q6 R' m. |/ k3 FOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
Performs related duties as required
Qualifications
# I+ c. r4 W' x9 lValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
$ k0 X& Y% ?8 _High School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
& \3 k- j" }. p" c8 _: rAbility to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
