  Duties
9 Z0 h- n1 }5 d% f7 E! O- ^1 \9 BDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
, M" f9 l. @8 _% e3 `+ S( ?$ \  v$ GObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
; o+ ?& K$ E& B3 a! O' GEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
# a4 `+ H* B7 N; P) @; oOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
Performs related duties as required
Qualifications
1 b0 E) }5 p. e$ wValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
High School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
Forklift operating certificate
