Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)- b, w) d+ z3 M P( v& H
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required1 @4 K+ Z% Z& a! B0 M, R! u0 v% P4 o
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed% ?7 I0 ]7 p7 ^# ~/ B6 O* k

Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
# `+ X/ w& j8 C1 kDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
1 U# h8 X( ^8 O9 e7 q: u8 W. z4 fSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
* Y" Y4 Q/ P9 w- E# gKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred4 Y, }" ~& F0 I! o% V7 T
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
