Key Responsibilities & Duties:

$ ?* O, c6 [# ^0 K0 Y. O2 ~' P Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
3 d, K7 ]0 Q4 `5 l% `% Y5 d Completing required paperwork.
$ }% T% R4 n+ P" O6 e2 Z Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
8 t8 r! b0 }0 F& ?9 h, C Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
1 l, ?& d0 K9 I Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
. ]! b" @+ v. L# q Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
  C+ i! x6 R7 X+ ~; E# R4 u Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
8 J$ C& V0 Y. E) k' s4 p7 \
" z$ \* s" l- D+ h% F Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! D! f* o" ~2 l Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
* _  p7 _5 m9 Q+ D% K" [This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
, N( k3 t4 V* V- UThere is a 3-month probationary period.
