& W& ^( {; C% U, @ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.

 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
& c0 E1 F9 ~& W9 p3 A0 t$ M Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
7 P/ a" m; {2 g( ], o. d; u Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
; t7 r% c3 W% ~/ K" }9 l. H$ K Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.# b0 ~% C2 f' j/ y7 p
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
: y8 ^( n( C, {: ? Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.3 O+ ~& q' c5 m, }0 _
 Knowledge of community resources.- @# p1 i* q, b6 _
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
+ ]$ C- Y5 j+ f- Q Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 1 h% M6 M0 F0 E. Z- V w
% Z4 Z) s4 T7 Z7 _& S ZPosition:
5 V2 i, i' Y7 s0 v3 I5 q& pThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
