 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
0 m7 {$ x" \: K4 n# r- d- M, [/ v Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
  t2 Q" r, C3 C9 y; ] Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
4 w- d4 Y' G4 C3 P% o Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

* V% r; b# M- ~  o7 t4 w
$ a, q, i9 }/ q0 Z& X Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
( H7 R, B: B; G( O' M3 v Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
! E& t8 ?8 A; V2 p3 s Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
) T  W9 m' T+ z' b4 m' c5 } Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.
! i  n: a: j/ v# O/ \8 z
9 i, @3 {' W$ j7 f: P8 Z0 S+ sPosition:
; u, j$ J6 V) O# b( i+ EThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
