 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
! j$ p9 G: {1 W Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
: w) F  E$ Q6 p1 N( B0 f" R Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
! Z% i. g: a& H8 | Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
2 L) }7 l/ w0 K( E. L* _, @5 C% B. a5 w Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
3 q; S* }- f+ q! A5 } Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
* K& ]6 Z6 E$ Z( c+ E* w) t: q Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
1 n. Y) B2 t9 X Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

, R5 a, G4 L( e* a Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
' }9 D# H# G, x+ O2 U8 u2 {" u, k Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
! s) ]- ~0 K- f) s' U Knowledge of community resources.
3 k5 _4 ~) p  j4 O Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

. K" m0 w8 ^# d6 `Position:
: B3 q" I: r) b( ^This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
  P5 j! @( Y7 cThere is a 3-month probationary period.
