8 H0 B9 j# K2 K* Y9 s# | Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
- x/ V! p; n2 h: R% W- ]) e Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
1 b5 O/ o5 N) F Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
0 J  W; Z0 x% o) L7 b# p, x Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

3 ^+ f" ~2 _  u$ T2 L& f+ p/ _# S
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
5 ?$ n* H4 ]4 L6 Q8 b" j9 F Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" V- j% C( X+ o- ^5 h# e& \ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
" |2 I' I1 ]" n# p! m; m& K9 w  w( v Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

) J  N- s3 E! A6 V- L$ a$ D8 yPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
% E$ ^) C3 N5 z! Q) |) T' `. {/ Tstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
