2 Q* P3 A8 L  t9 XKey Responsibilities & Duties:
# F0 t' p; x4 H4 j4 ^8 p
2 ]+ I( s% {2 x1 c Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
- l) P. Q- q7 d+ a" f$ c: j Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
- \: a/ Q, a0 w3 F5 ] Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

- g% P$ [0 l$ J( t Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
5 ?2 w; C% f' V! d3 A Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
2 S  i7 f& D; r: ?  Y8 S. N Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

3 C. l% G4 ?' F% c! i( ePosition:
( b& n6 W9 e4 C! i: x8 s; g& [0 F; @6 RThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
