Key Responsibilities & Duties:
$ p/ P5 I6 `# ?. g5 G* w/ n5 k9 H
7 O2 d. w: B4 D; k' v, R Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
' L( C$ ]0 ]& L3 L" s# X: F& n Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
, B2 U8 u* h' P- `* A% S Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
$ r% I6 f, q4 r1 D$ W' v Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
8 g' {" r4 B; ?5 ]; e Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

! s9 u4 c# f/ \4 g! w
. d& q7 P0 C# p0 N Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
. ]: `, q# d3 M8 v; G: |5 ]6 _ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. c$ o6 P- [( J1 n% K( M1 K! d Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

# {: {7 m/ m1 t4 hThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
