2 ]+ I( s% {2 x1 c Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.6 e# _ S$ l4 `4 U* k2 @
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.1 V; u5 y. ^; `
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.) r, H1 M t4 ^. R+ P
 Completing required paperwork.

 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. / c$ a. G1 p% W* V
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.% I# w: j/ q1 V1 w3 N7 L, W
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.$ V! t3 L2 Q8 b5 N
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager." M2 v+ f+ N# ]# u6 _1 c: Q/ t
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

- g% P$ [0 l$ J( t Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.

 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.. N* X! T* ^0 R9 i! _& i
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.$ n% @) z5 Q2 o6 t \% p
 Knowledge of community resources.

 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. : B; `( h4 p# ^0 O4 L

( b& n6 W9 e4 C! i: x8 s; g& [0 F; @6 RThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 7 w' W! V0 ~2 M8 g1 u+ L% n, \ U# I
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
