- u0 O. Z0 v! B% PKey Responsibilities & Duties:

( x, T& [: B+ { Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ ]+ @+ x* i# ^# I2 Y- r. n Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
; o8 t+ {0 b  i' ^/ [. Q Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
; ^+ Z* ]% j+ _- V; N% c Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
! e. \$ f; ^( c4 C: j, Z0 e Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
, q; c2 {7 [' l. f. K. v Knowledge of community resources.
+ I3 H0 D6 u4 m6 A5 B/ O Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

" Z3 T- c: V0 G. `7 U! fPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
" Y) q+ g  [2 }7 {2 f( Z6 a% nstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
