The YWCA has an opportunity for a Services Coordinator in the Counselling Centre. The YWCA Counselling Centre offers professional and accessible counselling services for families, couples and individuals. The Service Coordinator is a dynamic position being the first point of contact for clients of the Counselling Centre.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week) with working hours from 8:30AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday. The Service Coordinator reports to the Manager of the Counselling Centre and supports a diverse team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet and provide assistance to clients of the Counselling Centre and visitors to the YWCA as required# D: F% o& {# G; ^% R" X4 k
• Answer multi line telephone system

9 L9 t" W/ j, B$ IAdministration:
) C4 t3 Z6 }/ W! Q# V6 @7 T• Schedule client appointments and counsellor workloads
& ]/ ?! k1 d! B• File and organize paperwork and files related to client visits
1 ]+ M5 g7 O$ c* |; E' f) `' A1 I• Input and manage high volume of data- U; f$ @6 ]7 C$ y9 u% `6 `! @
• Update and maintain databases! q0 E$ a5 R; d
• Generate monthly reports and statistics0 n$ o% Z) y) |) b3 k4 ~
• Organize and directly support group materials and documentation/ Z- F! N: z+ L5 L" j
• Process payments and complete weekly deposits n2 F$ Q' c# g% x( I
• Write and revise business correspondence and forms O7 a% ]: I: G% a5 S7 q% I4 |0 E% n
• Provide clerical support (such as word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, mail outs and filing) for the Manager of the Counselling Centre and Counsellors& W& q/ W( |+ D5 d
• Thorough knowledge of services and programs offered by the Counselling Centre
/ s/ `! W- v0 B( k/ o: @• Ability to handle inquiries about programs and services to other community agencies and to clients

Qualifications:! v6 v/ `1 w ]& |5 M
. U& K0 o# c- e& t0 ?• Minimum two years experience in areas related to office reception and office procedure
7 {+ c- l, G6 F V1 ^( z# ~• Proven experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including ACCESS
8 g, h( W0 z9 `• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
1 D& G2 B4 R" D/ v9 z! ~• Detail orientated and ensure accuracy in work4 f8 Q* M$ M/ y8 g: Z
• Able to interact positively with a diverse population

• Strong organizational skills and abilities$ P' l$ T- R; O& @- ?0 J+ N5 U9 h
• Knowledge of HOMES database an asset
