Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

" O) \$ W' P' \8 W: k) PWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
! y2 ?3 Z6 l1 e# I6 IResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
) C8 p- }: s- F5 EMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

1 V" R( p2 A" w( e
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
1 x* ~' A8 a! S2 m; H! _) xMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
: v9 t' w8 [% g, mMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
# e# d: E( W3 X) TUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
7 W, q$ m( k; R1 h! wCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
+ {; q$ }! }6 ~5 U4 h, r4 IAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
