Major Responsibilities:
# w% D9 Y8 Z# E+ ~, e# x• Process research equipment design;0 k: M6 y Y* `# }5 ~4 \- r2 X
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;$ T/ S; _1 B+ q1 x- G3 S8 L
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
9 Y1 [9 c# M! ]. F# o% m• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
0 S% g, x" V" v9 W- Q9 V• Others.& X3 G I$ Y" e) S6 [8 m0 r
* n r$ i/ V9 J4 c. l9 R" jQualifications:4 j, Y+ D L, x1 r6 V
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
6 W. _" S, C( Y. j• Equipment design experience is required;( d% q2 p) Q4 ]. @1 K! T2 e2 Y' Q0 A
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
2 T; G" g3 f0 W, p& f• Familiar with CAD software;
7 s1 x, K2 l& w) V$ }0 G• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;0 p* [2 E1 F: W! o. J
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
