An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
9 |" D' w" e! m•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

% b$ j1 ^" J# o+ h3 bQualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
3 K# }# g. v' d9 V1 _& w•        Equipment design experience is required;
( p; p* s9 M" d; {2 f1 [•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
+ ^9 M' w2 o7 H* }, o& P4 o•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
, ?. R$ z( D% ?# Q# y•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
