Major Responsibilities:
# x# h) c0 q0 e4 g6 j0 S•        Process research equipment design;
5 p, A/ I8 U+ ]9 X( F•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
, g  H" |& {4 a! C7 E- \: F•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

0 x; B( z- H% ?; O( l; SQualifications:
) x! [% ~0 F: x6 x•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
9 V1 ?! E, Y$ n5 K•        Equipment design experience is required;
( `% k# z. r0 F# k•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
7 M/ ~) A$ [, `  Q9 t7 Q( X* u6 k•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
' _* f$ t; t4 ]- D) W•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

) ~- U$ k) R8 i* ^" rCompensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
