Mechanical Engineer/Specialist –Research Equipment Design

• Process research equipment design;
0 a) p# r& I" j3 P! ?# r• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
5 L! g' g, k, Y. d• Equipment fabrication guidance;
1 \# {" |1 \: }• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;. a4 B! D- Z7 @, A% y
• Others.

- m9 u: u+ g4 t9 ]Qualifications:3 x3 k/ t9 V, G% k. q
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
" f- v4 [2 O" k; V• Equipment design experience is required;
) T& ^! b2 A7 Z9 z7 c/ d5 O/ p9 z• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;3 }' e; J9 P+ B6 h$ Y H# A+ m
• Familiar with CAD software;
2 T0 l4 r- o' U$ U2 S• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
+ d. O2 c6 M2 Y# k• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
9 p/ Q) ?; w( }. p5 [$ v) wSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. % o# u. I9 t8 W
