( P8 O( G, ?2 d! N Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
4 {, ^  n6 Z  U  P; m Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
/ R% o% w- h8 `" } Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
% V, J4 d1 b3 l" \, Q. c3 z% |* \ Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
+ L  B, |) c% c9 U Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
" k) i2 O! K! p4 i Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
$ Y0 D, Q5 M# T+ d* A. w4 c  k# `; @, `- n Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
* K6 h/ w  K; C5 v/ b; F7 l. ]* F5 w Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
; _; M& c# q) ?4 ]starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
