 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.' C/ E* z- z, E, \1 |
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
! f/ K) v9 E* @" H) W: h) o Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.* ]# l7 ~# A) b# v* S/ c
 Completing required paperwork.$ c7 c# e7 v, S3 D6 s% j
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.$ j0 f* {: `! d0 `& {
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
& u! H: X8 ]+ j8 x' p! l Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. 4 H$ n8 u3 A- ]' e1 C8 ^$ J% U2 A
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
. N# M3 M# B) F! d- L8 s9 Q Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.8 e7 h u' e9 F2 K/ m3 q' U
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager., L" n* I2 t8 ^) P3 ~
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

& u7 ?1 j% Z6 X3 U9 @- W Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience., B8 k# G. C5 L0 w# T. D1 ]
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.' w2 {1 [1 a$ `) t5 H7 y- j* r9 Q
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.+ L: L( ~; v( `4 r4 e3 }3 C
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 ]7 _ a1 b( ]. y Knowledge of community resources.8 e! i4 h E8 c, x8 k3 i5 y4 `
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
' v* b( I) g" b, I0 L Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 4 j, |0 h" @6 B# G
