1 Y: N8 `. {. }- N* G) ]6 C7 Q Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
* p6 v8 I3 D, O& m* H. T Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
' n7 O) y9 a& ~1 r" ~ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 o! ^  g/ i- N$ e7 L+ R, l1 ^1 U Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
$ E8 @& P& q% j Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
# a" D5 y/ S" F5 E Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
* C" a# H! ^9 g" {* J8 n1 U Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

6 s8 P- w6 O. w- e4 e( ?7 S Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
* G3 m/ t# o: ?" P1 A9 @; D' sstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
