Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1 q! B6 s6 m3 J# p( M Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
0 L( ^" v! u" |8 Q Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
9 O. y {8 @# X8 c" I+ ` Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
j) G6 K* H: v8 i" X/ t# O Completing required paperwork.
) R/ o8 R6 j( b/ b v, L7 { Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.% S8 |; p, W$ r3 x" l
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.( _4 S2 z( C& J, ^7 s
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
8 U3 l' {$ e h0 n6 \ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
( d0 p" i" }( o9 c Y' ?8 y" k Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

) b q5 k* {, Y: w. F7 ^ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
' a. t* ?. k% Y m7 W9 L Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.9 Z4 V. M& |3 W* A" S0 S
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.9 @; |( D1 t8 j& i, R. c' z
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.. m& V ^% e. r. x; p. @
 Knowledge of community resources.
z5 U4 b. b' ~ p. { Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
* P# {/ j; J. z" u Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 2 a2 N8 \2 j" C6 B
