$ _0 x' o9 F9 w8 i5 C& H Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
3 a" A) r, f; j" o, t- C Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
, c4 Y5 ]5 k1 o2 ^/ c Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
( u* b. n8 A3 q! ~. d Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
4 v& a) x+ r% L* E Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


% O9 k+ x% v  M7 VQualifications:

# \4 G4 A3 `' r; u/ G0 Z$ M Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
. z" W2 j) _* }" B, M# z& o" e5 _3 `: C Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
: I  S: C5 [; t& j) T: c Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
1 e& M; Y3 ]. ^' V# c$ U0 r7 ?+ ^ Knowledge of community resources.
/ ^7 v! v* Y) V0 L9 {. W; A( q0 i Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
4 G1 l4 a% S, O5 ~ Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

! Z4 N7 q6 t" Q1 o( q1 `Position:
( z! Y) h9 h2 z) k/ F6 pThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
" ^) q6 p+ b* X6 Q2 ~starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
