Our Employment/Career Counselors provide professional support and assistance to our customers as they work towards meeting their employment needs. Qualifications that we typically look for in our team members include:
7 l" G) C5 r$ J: b( [Post-Secondary education in career development, human resources or related fields : Q2 H6 T4 K, z% L g/ S( k" u
Understanding of, and demonstrated application of, the employment/Career counselling/coaching role
* Z7 r7 z1 @6 o; t- N0 A" S/ zExperience working with clients experiencing difficulty securing employment and a commitment to motivate and encourage such participants 1 o# K8 \- |5 j" I* d8 R
Excellent communication and negotiation skills t+ ]! Q8 a+ m; P* P1 N' f
Experience in providing information in a group session and/or individually for one to one appointments 7 A; |6 [4 |* g/ c
Current knowledge of greater Edmonton labour market1 _1 ^1 V& ~* Y8 E
