SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
1 L6 a+ A/ ?- W1 O- B4 I( ]8 qoperation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
% {9 C, \9 M  {: l% Tthat the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
customers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
4 L& i7 D" p2 S9 `( u& `the Store Manager.
( E9 J- ~& e1 g5 L! jDuties and Responsibilities
1 `. a" A& Y& r% XCustomer Service
( X8 _# I! P5 o4 H. C• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
: L. y. O+ ], L9 I$ L  _5 p• Assist customers find what they are looking for
5 u; e7 r& r: P6 g/ `! L5 N, |+ q• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
& f3 ]9 t6 {1 nstock
; N: @) P1 `& p# @( A1 M! g• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
" N- b3 J8 F# Y6 t3 w: RStore Responsibilities
• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
6 V  y! K# E5 A3 _4 X; E4 e• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
" |+ \$ }% z; p8 M- `1 A- `% R• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
' @- M7 p( |2 X1 w1 v3 h• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
- N6 R8 A* g2 k/ a* K• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
7 I, D. z1 ^" p" ]' g) n• Protect company assets at all times
7 k" j4 r8 p3 Y; I. k$ Q0 g. o• Close the store (key holders)
0 l# I2 \5 W# i/ ^: f. k% L/ l• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager
6 x2 m' g2 n9 P2 wQualifications
• High School graduate
• Criminal record check.
) W0 e. e& q' m, M9 ~0 Z• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
* d: h* b1 s/ }) W" ?% f+ @; N• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
7 [+ x4 U5 a+ Vchanges in strategies
Working Conditions
• Fast paced environment
• Demanding workload
Physical Requirements
  e! Q( I+ y1 g5 V) Q9 R• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
+ H) s  @8 Y- K( N, A& u• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
  U( N& @  \. O$ C' g+ n• Standing for extended periods of time
3 F: A9 [) \1 A+ w• Comfortable climbing ladders
