MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

& i0 x* T' r6 L- a% JKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
2 X8 b; v( F1 b% h1 v$ w6 X        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
1 G; t. {0 P. {/ \$ w1 }        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
1 j# W( d5 q" l0 ^! A+ p        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
  Q9 i) n; B: v" L•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
3 E4 b0 O2 N" l) L$ T•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
- @/ J! t1 k0 ~! ]+ D% N: r+ b•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
6 V1 e0 F$ z& N$ J# G•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
