MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
) c1 S6 u2 q: i        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
3 R& ^4 ^& W6 U  I: C+ y8 ?        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
6 C' u6 o7 s7 D6 e$ d+ e5 A; M•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
* m) r# r) d- h- D% f•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
