The position builds working relationships with New Canadian Health Network partners’ staff, , u q; b$ L9 x9 `
newcomers accessing these services and other institutions and service providers. The Social
2 h" e2 e. S8 J; pWorker will assist in case planning, conferencing and providing support and advocacy as
! `1 m+ `8 Q7 t2 ^! Aneeded. As required, the Social Worker will assist in accessing community supports for
. o. y, _' C1 ?5 E6 b: {" Bnewcomers and their families. The Social Worker provides holistic and flexible initial 3 j! e0 J- s9 G
assessment of life circumstances, needs, goals and aspirations and adheres to the client-

Relevant undergraduate degree or diploma, or equivalent combination of education and

Extensive knowledge of community resources, including in depth understanding of family
: W2 N8 ] y( K+ G' ^4 R, j; G7 n7 ^0 bsupport needs
/ J8 P# ]1 r- N" s Experience/facility with MS Office computer applications 1 k L) M5 `2 K* [6 X: Z: w
Proficiency in both official languages is an asset, as is fluency in other languages 9 j9 S- r3 y/ b: I$ e" i
Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle with appropriate ! s5 T+ k4 x. j5 V% [& ?. q2 i

Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience working in a related field
