举个例子：

& E7 S" H+ ?( F3 d如果你捐赠$5,000，你会得到$15,000的Official Tax Receipt on FMV Fair Market Value, 再加上原有的$5,000，你的Total Cash Receipt将会是$20,000。
/ k5 K" ]$ I. {  s6 p在你报税的时候，根据39%的Alberta Tax Credit，你将会得到$7800（20,000乘以39%等于7800）的退税。除去你捐的$5000，你将净得$2800。

FMV--- fair market value
This is the way a product is evaluated on the market

0 r& T9 B$ B4 q% RThe fair marker value是 $100.
. ?. ~! i$ l+ K2 ~3 {  K! r( d如果你捐了$1000 到Charity 1 Millenniums Charitable Foundation, 你收到tax receipt $1000.
你同时还得到The Global Learning Trust 的package of  30 courseware. 你把这些package 捐到 Canadian charity association. 你又会得到 receipt  $3000.

你发明了一个软件，而且一定要到一个注册的慈善团体捐助，并且你需要找一个评估师来评估你的这个软件的FMV,然后才算你的donation and gift in kind.
