execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of ) N1 m, x7 ~! Q9 N0 U6 D# Q
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
A% G) Q p0 w- `: r+ V+ `8 ?including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 1 Q8 ?7 A* ], O8 i8 M/ V2 H, \9 f
the board;
$ b, _* E8 B. C/ L) J3 t• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ) r }- |) {% W Z. j9 p
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
% v) d9 Q! Q! e5 J( sthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
' o* r# G! \* W- P- A3 j• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the , O: q9 @3 X8 R" t7 M6 S
changing needs of the organization and community;
& s5 k- B% O& R) ~& f• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
* ~$ v9 p/ u: Ecommitments;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective

• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 0 |- l/ }$ W! ]% Y
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
z3 [2 w2 I; |5 j+ D! ]$ n pperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED - a; ]$ l( f1 Y5 t! _# m
the forthcoming year; 2 f) o8 G& [; H
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 8 W- a3 D+ ~ J. X* c3 Q. H
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of . E4 Q) M9 }. A% Y" @$ }
YWCA Canada; and

Required Experience + o }* U) c" }. Z1 W0 S
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
9 ]1 }1 e4 \0 t% n• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 4 q) @7 ?& V+ W" b
abilities; 2 E+ A9 e) r" N& ~) G! \
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, # U7 \- ~# L$ @" c! i% y7 S) j
Networking and Fundraising; , f8 ]$ T3 d0 ?# _. R
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
