• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 0 r+ ]- L0 O' S2 Z& h8 }
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
: b2 @$ |' `0 \the Board of Directors;
# L ?/ V4 p4 i6 d6 k4 r& j5 H• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations |( n, m' q. U2 ?) h
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
; X) a; y, S$ `enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
( @/ z1 G2 X0 T! `- Z• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
$ u$ g2 Z) [% ^: ]6 \objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 2 Y, H: T+ }' m3 j9 h/ G' {& }

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; - {$ Y; ~" f3 C1 l d: h3 V
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
" v; h2 J! k( H" X& _the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; : R" O1 M+ Q! l5 B! ?
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 4 c$ B; p1 [" Y) L
changing needs of the organization and community; 9 I! D/ o$ Q% A/ n) w6 n5 o
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
4 C' w7 P8 k, _5 b$ B0 }! z3 }commitments; ! |8 _$ H! J/ e# p- J& @+ {
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
( l, z0 g# W8 b, Z8 T• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective ( e3 Z4 G- E6 f! ~7 a
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; : j6 C1 D9 \, U- d; u
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 3 k' U7 n" s- L: h" _3 u5 e
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to - |6 k- L6 q% x! L5 O$ s) y0 d& n
effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ; J, n' ~6 u/ U- ?
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
) d0 Q# T) R& d+ o0 q• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal # A% o( A$ p* h% Q/ t
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
. `3 n9 i: [: Y( l) d( ?, ]the forthcoming year;
7 h8 J0 E" @' | J• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
5 C9 s5 `1 \+ _, npractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of * f# j9 e8 `0 n% E& u) m: \$ s

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ?& C! h/ C% S
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation % J% A" Q% c1 Y6 O2 d

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ; u2 l% o$ p. M8 n
Networking and Fundraising;
5 t5 j; {& w/ a• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting / u8 P$ m0 x1 F
and financial statements; and
