execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
1 S1 U" n; k, s1 e( b1 i7 Tthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
% i/ D% {/ }+ O F/ h2 H; _the Board of Directors; 6 \. u" J6 n# `) V4 h
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 6 @7 f# {5 @& z6 e) H( o( E4 K+ P
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
# a( W" \! S9 Q8 x5 q; xenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
2 G& ~" r, C( y Z7 f• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
( S" k. \1 Z( x# X# J" Uobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by . B. N6 A" f( K
the board;

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
% M1 p4 w6 I' ^6 Q6 Hthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; % ?' x1 G+ n$ _0 e Q5 Q
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the , l# j, p- j2 R1 h% L, C( h
changing needs of the organization and community;
( \3 F3 Q( p" i• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

( ~, X; p: e, n$ fselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
a8 H* ]* X4 c+ s. d7 Ieffectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
; E9 d2 G. d' d# |, `the implementation of systems to manage these risks; 8 f* s3 S4 [8 u. l& Z$ O
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 8 J$ q/ j& s$ T* i: H0 d- W9 a; i& _
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED . y' C# E$ f+ E4 Z. f3 q7 f
the forthcoming year;
' y& c6 U8 L* A+ c) {( x• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
5 j' K7 J, K$ @practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification

Required Experience
" V3 ?& t" e. j; ^/ E% L3 {• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; , ^$ W" z0 r0 q1 S1 |7 [: u
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation ' x4 n B% d) r- B# Q* U
abilities;
