The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.& l9 _* U m; `1 j

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
" X) l D/ X1 P$ q$ K§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
8 g6 C5 c+ k, |% G! y2 F) a§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
2 Q6 y1 T E/ E: v§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times6 i6 R" | C. V3 n$ `" B: W
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
& m$ v" q% D# o' H2 v§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
+ w0 ~! e# ?, x# }( D§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties# ]; l$ E" K" @5 a! s& d5 ^
§ Special projects as required

Qualifications:' b- k& X: g3 S; M/ t
§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
' H, f# z/ X4 U* _; ]§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision, y2 X! _, c4 m2 a. |$ Y
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service$ t/ }2 B" v! l3 ~$ l
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
3 i2 G: r3 ]* ]# e* ^§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
, n: |! u' }+ q1 L- M4 b/ l+ y* ~§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
5 c5 b; j0 u3 H6 ]. ?8 u0 g§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

2 ~7 ?; m6 Q9 [+ P1 bThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to

1 p3 g2 e; K8 m+ f" g! \% ^4 }§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

& w( \& y$ Q5 f! T* e: O/ z8 ?§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
