Position Summary:
" Q% |4 ?7 a: W4 M6 d: @1 HThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution

§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times6 \6 U! H% e6 Q4 Y& N

§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert, U7 R0 l; x8 `3 ]7 H
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience5 G3 P. D9 m4 D' V0 G4 D4 m$ A

§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). L a8 U! L+ v; v

§ Manage and coach staff in IT group

§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

5 u7 }9 R; T/ T1 [4 N j; b( M% F§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to

§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan" C* b7 {0 z6 q" v* P# b' ~8 o% P
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
