Position Summary:
9 m# Q+ B  X$ x. t. u# A/ DThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

/ c1 D; K1 i% ZResponsibilities:
; j9 ^; s* X* }+ B3 L2 z0 g9 @: S" ?8 v7 o§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers& e5 M/ o( J7 _
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution $ V6 v$ [6 j; u! ~/ ]& ]1 j; I8 O4 s
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation6 @" C1 Q& o4 e
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times' I" N: B( y  o2 r; M
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
' ?, O6 L7 }! l5 b, b1 G& k* l§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
& z- J( f  P  p7 `  N7 h( @§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties  _2 t+ {' _, M: k6 H7 u
§ Special projects as required0 x/ y3 N" Q' I, L
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

Qualifications:
9 H, X% {/ g# _3 h2 Z8 E1 y! j§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience  g& `4 [! v) b
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision9 v7 r. Q. ]# N' a0 }! d- M( {$ R
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service) H5 b7 F: {# ]
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
$ j# @/ _7 {: |/ I* n5 Y§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware- j+ d1 t9 C) `7 b- ]
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software5 J& \3 ]7 D6 t5 {
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems7 d$ v( [' F; r; R. c7 n8 r  t- a

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). + `. @- U; e- ]- T8 e; o1 b

§ Manage a stable local IT environment
4 N1 X: Z" a2 y4 O& N, `$ u! W- }§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
% c$ y: X; \  ]+ Q0 a1 u§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support% s: J+ w, N3 c" ?! y4 A
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives5 y5 o4 H% Y1 P$ {7 M2 D3 w$ P) n
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports' R6 {5 K, I- i4 T7 o' b/ V. g
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation7 t) T% {8 q( e( J
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
1 e0 d4 I. X0 `% k! }3 D§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
% ?& g. H1 w- ]9 x* n* R1 _7 f§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access' o, G6 e* C9 S7 [- B: x
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
& A3 ]% a- `' p  z§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
; c* {. @2 ]! _) E: r) b§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk8 [; G3 Z' u4 ?3 o% H3 @' s
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert! G$ N. w- p9 m
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
% ]( d, S/ d5 f2 b; K§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance+ J. B7 e3 U1 a# |
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
2 x$ _7 `. y. U. @§ Coordinate and support end user training5 {' E6 d$ y/ j% N' [" W, Y
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers9 X7 t5 l' b/ \: l
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

  ~3 R* d5 [- U" w, @在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
