Any input on Cutler-Hammer Starter?

& [6 N2 o. p: i2 X: o  ?+ ] After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the  start and stop buttons on DCS screen  , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
$ j- a+ ?" @8 o, M. ~. @% lIt is a cycle.

; |3 W8 @! U$ _; I* qWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
# q1 W  L9 L% U- O/ t5 bSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
The problem should be inside the bucket.

When the problem happened, we observed that  the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
1 ?) j$ R- s3 u' m, D: eUse a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
4 V$ F+ `4 d% T9 k2 {Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we  bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

  w4 ~# _2 Z2 q+ N" \The next thing we can think of  is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
They  have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered  the connection and tried again.
, x5 W+ X, r! d7 s3 |& B" o It is getting better  this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.

Don't know cutler –hammer advantage  starters very well, but had been worked on AB switch gears for a little while, which has two different coils, one to pull the vacum bottles up which employs larger current, another one uses less current to hold the connection---if the second coil fails, it won't be able to seal the connection.
Since your cutler -hammer works couple times,  I guess 侠客行 is right, or the sealing connection is just worn out.
