March 7th: the University of Alberta Museums’ annual Science Sunday for kids!

On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.6 G% }* u3 j: N9 z: v
1 Z8 a: ^# n+ y; Z3 s: d% `
Bring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:
" c( i2 Q# A; ~: h( Y: d5 t# }/ \" ?' ]6 I& W, a5 n8 j
learning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut - w$ \4 Y$ ~0 L9 T6 [: O, _. d
digging for and examining fossils ; J3 R" Z( r- [+ X& g) X
exploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
$ s' W% Z, O# d$ j& p6 V$ Uinvestigating insects " e7 }0 X% C: ]7 f) L: Q, a1 y
and much more!
1 X( j7 f6 U7 h“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.7 ]& o. ~5 w6 ?
- v- u2 m) }0 \Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.
