On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.
! C1 W/ U2 \( ~( m* k" G: y; k* [2 F+ }3 }" `! A5 Z3 f% s
Bring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:
/ V: M7 |- s4 R; g; v4 j/ N8 z; z" M" q
learning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut . m; F% C- @ K
digging for and examining fossils
6 c, C$ ~, ?9 j2 I% x: M+ L0 b' yexploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
) H$ O1 v. d: R9 j4 U( yinvestigating insects
/ o g# T# ^2 n# y5 k' l, N sand much more!
9 T3 t' x# R7 g$ A3 g x“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.

Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.7 w# q( A4 G: d P; g
