CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.1 x5 }1 H! c# D

( M/ h- D( C& HThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.0 L* L" |0 ^7 t: f( c/ g
