CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.4 L, @; w4 V- z9 L7 d( A t9 x/ b0 V
3 y& D% f5 s$ }No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.! e6 @5 D) T* S# n; K* @* [

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil./ w' L- A$ w: O$ x) I% X3 c: m+ _1 b
