Assists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
$ E, F8 q" C9 A/ U* ~Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
7 f2 X8 V  W! OMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.

) {/ `2 q+ B  O1 s. H; m2 Y1 p  xMust have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
Computer skills an asset.
4 d3 a1 Y- a6 \  K0 MAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
$ c% T  B& G/ FProficiency in a second language is an asset.
