1 r* L" m5 y7 V4 p0 L& r, ~" LAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
8 {# J0 A7 W- i& e. sWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
" S; q! e0 ?/ X& n7 Y$ SMaintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
: {1 Y0 O, f$ n, i" `% J7 QMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
$ h* [, s7 I1 P4 R, ]5 H. O/ WIs knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
, J0 Y: K+ T1 \% `Qualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
( ?5 ~! x2 @: q  w) gMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
Computer skills an asset.
% _$ D3 o2 z8 \' H0 E/ c) BAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
