Responsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
3 C9 n8 i3 y4 F. i! D' T  `: l+ G-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
% U- I/ k6 p+ H) E3 }-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

3 k& Q0 X' z0 _8 b2 GKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
- R6 o* ?- ?7 c5 N3 w* j0 v4 j8 y-        Experience doing program development
. x9 [7 r5 ]5 j$ B' v5 `-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
# m0 ?1 Y4 k* A" w2 M# n5 z5 Q8 }' ]3 V-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
3 f$ L; Z1 i$ |- ?3 \+ B4 d3 ?-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
$ C& [5 Y9 l1 k' J) T8 y" e" [( B-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

" E2 |/ f: U5 |# ?+ }% S" R# {
Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
( ~# d9 T3 _- H( W-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
