Responsibilities: G* \. i8 j! k- q2 N* f3 p! m% P
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
& D/ q# b* x0 X1 ^9 x* h4 b9 X, T- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
6 M3 M1 Y/ W$ h1 k- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
7 i$ ?) R' s6 @3 P3 L/ _- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs, J3 T2 y9 A; b! l
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications: @- C" _$ x: Z5 J$ ]/ N
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences) Z/ Q1 @, n( X
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
6 c, [# i3 n t! P# o- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
3 s5 Y; ~, f( t( e' o5 l2 p, D- Experience doing program development9 g8 v- Y8 l) A) T6 Y
- Strong organizational and coordination skills$ K/ j, w6 ?) ?; x
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
- s) o, }, x8 c( _! N" b5 _- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset/ Z: W7 B/ A, U# F' N0 f
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license' V# `8 e/ E8 x0 S5 A
