Responsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
( I+ |/ W3 U, S9 ]) n! X  t; a-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
2 b2 v# f+ W& H3 b4 V9 [( ]* j+ F# L-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

( O+ r3 e, m- l6 a9 ^' O4 \  \Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
# k  y4 f: p0 P" B) t-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
; s: L5 d$ Q; {-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
( o0 a  z) k) W6 |0 N$ g9 T' F-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset

-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
0 u: g7 V# T) H; I: F0 g-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
1 \' I) Z" s# i9 g# _+ B-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
! B( I! R- G1 U4 `5 `0 _# m9 ]4 ?-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
