Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

9 c6 J' ^3 Q! k* Q" ^$ I-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
& w. U/ B$ q' X3 r  D3 \-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
/ n/ o/ n( j. f-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
& I; Q) A3 `: m" y/ o; @-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

" A% U' b3 b) x7 c# YKey Qualifications:
: w/ L; i2 d. \1 h* m% ~5 t0 v-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
- x% K, z: v0 {+ `" O-        Experience doing program development
: A" J* ~* M/ ]/ u" X$ f-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
1 F4 j: l% c( R* H1 r7 h( |-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
! V3 x5 C9 `# E6 u6 b7 S* _1 ]0 Q" m-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
% G  Q" K$ Z, U, J-        Skills in marketing & promotions
- H6 u3 C- e, u4 w  K* a-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
