Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
  d6 A) X5 `% {: h3 o& o2 r-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
7 }" H1 g3 {+ c3 c- T; B. o-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
2 Z- H0 H/ @: ?  W8 A-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
) ~9 H7 H0 i9 H% G-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
/ W4 K6 ]$ U* Z3 V. b* _6 r8 _-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

* \" g1 |( [4 r- y) L# Z-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
# z) v9 B% s- _4 r  j: z& ~-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
