some found jobs last year

I know somebody found job last year after they got their degree in Canada. Although there degree is not related with power system design, they have a strong backgound, working in the provincail electric power design company( Dian Li She Ji Yuan). You can check the websites of some engineering service companies, such as  Snc-Lavalin or Bantrel.

They are in the same field as me. I worked for power substation design when I was in China.8 x) w# f) G' k& b! W$ e( g# \

It seems that the AB is developing quickly now and  I wonder if the person who has the electrical design background like me has the chance in Edmonton now. I hope to get more information about the design area, expecially in Electrical Design field in Edmonton.1 E+ G6 y% Q& U2 ]$ ]" s9 E

Why did your firends go to schools for Canadian degrees not related to their work experiences although they already have strong backgrounds from China.

They went to the school during IT booming period and wanted to find a IT job. When they graduated, the IT boom crashed and they went back to their previous field.  Q: p; q7 Z( C/ d2 ]

- t# ?2 M; G' z9 ?( @9 ]9 u$ YAre there Canadian degrees helpful for them when they were looking for jobs?
. L5 x# E& V* u7 x+ z" t8 o; o6 J2 x8 k, t0 W$ U) A- l
Maybe yes, maybe no.
6 k5 A3 q/ G( ]" ~: a- m# x; p9 z' N$ ^8 O0 }
Are their jobs they are working now any related to their Canadian degrees?

/ ?% s4 `' {8 V- rGernally speaking, they are all called as electrical engineering. But I think there are big difference.
