& S7 h2 o% T# a& W3 g$ E7 N- o The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
# g9 @# F( I' r+ t  |& I -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
5 ]) e+ C0 h  E6 h+ t-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
: i+ \$ z' k7 f0 |-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
& E2 o/ I8 o% G9 d1 \# r-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
0 i6 ?/ x; i# z/ T- W+ L& c, E-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
) c$ f/ b' h4 r-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
1 V1 D7 D# K, e2 E-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
2 o" m4 K9 {! s$ M% U9 t, F' }1 r-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
