Field Operator - Balzac

Position Overview  
The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
; z  e; x0 @. N, f-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
0 P' P) l8 e  d% d+ f2 X. D/ Y" }-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;

Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
9 ]1 H+ v7 \8 r- G' G% k0 A-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
# m4 ?- T8 J' [+ i-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
+ {6 b! }- c6 R5 G-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
