: J( I9 `4 T: M  }8 T% rTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
5 w! _! x# _+ c! @/ s8 fAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
0 R; t+ L; d# h) g9 X•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
4 O8 a8 U& r# Q8 g( k•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
3 x$ p  \: d: h( d. ~; [1 \# ?: @% W•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
/ _1 ]( H8 k5 z+ n, q5 F•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
( D" Y$ g& w- k: I) b+ `•Be eligible to work in Canada
' y4 |! [) v1 j$ c•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
) L" _; T4 J9 gThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
