: D- J( k3 R' F/ D. _9 g2 e) DTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
: q' J# u% l7 l: J& G7 M; n  [24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
. Z- j/ _0 o: ~4 Z8 m! _! W: wEligibility Criteria
9 z2 k% N& Z& H! O/ n# T" \All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
8 O1 j; Z+ u) \) J/ Z$ k& R  W•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
! }5 o) F/ G8 g5 {# c•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
3 V" n; Q, q6 ~•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

) t& h! O9 ~3 u# Q0 y) n1 L: _. T•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
, T! f' ]9 \6 S' i+ `3 y# DThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
