THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
a, M" e+ T3 GEligibility Criteria4 z; }2 D9 e% T, o1 O
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
) ~7 o" T2 }! @* e* F- [+ G•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
7 v" {% h/ U( A8 g+ H/ T' J•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education5 O' @& ~) j N) [8 X8 G
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
7 T( ?1 X. ~' F: `0 ^•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
" X; B9 v, F( V•No prior Canadian work experience in their field- @/ u+ I1 t$ v0 H& j
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
( K2 w. N f& U- j•Be eligible to work in Canada; F. u }) X- p
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

Time Commitment
. I; w$ I: \" M8 z/ l% e8 U/ c* {The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months. This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
