Police Service Preparation Program

! D4 v& `& K% JThis program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

Start date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
Programs run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Location: Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers, 8914 118 Avenue

Entrance Criteria
You must be/have:
: X. }6 ?" ^( b8 b) O3 l• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Unemployed or underemployed
  b) q. O( S* k( I• Minimum 18 years of age
• Good moral character
% b5 |7 @3 C9 r( Z. Y/ N7 b, \0 w• Good health and physical condition
# M. P8 g! k, Z  |• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
• Citizenship documents: Permanent Resident Card or recent Canadian
