Our mandate is to provide access to information and resources that will assist entrepreneurs and the small business community to start and grow their business. The Business Link’s toll-free business information line, web-based services, innovative uses of video conferencing technologies, and walk-in centers in Edmonton and Calgary ensure clients throughout Alberta have access to our many resources.

We are currently looking for a Client Services Representative to assist us with welcoming clients to our centre, recommending services based on their inquiry, coordinating office maintenance, administrative duties, and data entry.8 @( e1 h- R5 P8 F0 E

Position Summary2 ]; E* V' W* D, J' ^; y: a' p

•        Providing exceptional client service to walk-in and phone clients of The Business Link and tenant organizations
  q5 _3 Y& o3 ^- c# G•        Keeping calendar of events up to date including arrangement and acceptance of new bookings and successful completion of scheduled meetings
) Q# m, S7 z& |" V7 z•        Working closely with the Business Marketing Officer to ensure that the front desk displays are in compliance with TBL’s marketing approach 7 O" M3 Z. N/ }6 C
•        Promoting TBL products and services + G, I% }5 e) r
•        Accurately processing sales and performing daily cash balance , M  C6 R( f- C' g0 Q
•        Providing appropriate paperwork to account payables and receivables
+ n4 f, r' O2 r- v+ }# f•        Taking part in team and individual projects that will contribute to efficient provision of TBL’s services across Alberta ( {  o1 O# m7 U9 q, D; L+ D
•        Keeping accurate tracking of client interactions – data entry- N& _7 v0 Q6 _! c! j
•        Assisting with administration of the Guest Advisor Program
8 j8 ~2 ~: @* ?* T! a2 \" t•        Arranging catering for various meetings   y# m+ m  O/ q6 b
•        Opening and closing of The Business Link Office ( C1 G, c0 k# j3 p2 Q# g
•        Ensuring that the front desk and boardrooms are clean, tidy, and stocked with supplies at all times 0 j& v+ \! {: N" v. ]( j# d" Y7 v* ^
•        Other duties as assigned. 0 d8 x6 q: L8 _) e/ x4 C9 u, j

Education and Experience

1 q7 b* z. B0 b5 Q1 a( s•        Minimum 2 years of Customer service experience
5 U8 }- i- `' s9 T+ {% ~•        Administrative experience including reception, cash register, and scheduling; E) v( G0 `8 p9 w/ o
•        College Certificate or Diploma in related field.

        Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook: y& D. k/ ]: a1 O7 @6 f* Z
        Problem solving skills to define problems and recommend practical solutions
1 d( r* @1 }8 D        Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships at all levels of the organization9 D5 F& K% W& R
        Strong organizational skills with multi-tasking abilities; `' v8 R8 Y6 t* t
        Continuous learning is essential to perform job effectively
