' F4 z$ i2 M4 ?# p% \% pCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.2 K3 o- x. Z; T5 F+ P0 {

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.& g9 w/ W; d: N( d: x4 p k

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

9 m" _6 A+ U. s* w M• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.9 l$ n2 V0 d) A

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

6 e( s" C2 l9 q) R, ~• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

6 E! ^$ y3 I0 w8 r2 Z# N# x& \• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

7 K. p) h7 J J! O• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.+ O& z8 M: H, u2 Y; S D! D7 ^
. `) ^" f2 ~3 R. z4 G0 G3 ~" Z' VSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
