CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.7 T" n! R! G. |5 _, w+ H

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.: ]& b% ]1 ?2 x* a* O

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.. |5 v( N2 Z" h. x' C" W

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.: k M5 O7 w/ M

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

- p4 P* d3 U7 U; j7 f• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events. i6 n( c5 R# p( K( W! e

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

& Y: ~7 d$ F. Z$ _• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

, P* c' J& {# X8 B1 w$ N• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
