Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.9 g- C/ m2 R. CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

8 Y: x) e1 a( a( e• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.- z6 ~* R; S! q) c

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

* _4 Z+ i, ], H( f5 ?, v! z• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts./ g( c2 _: @+ Q N0 f1 v

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.! a8 Z$ C* w$ e+ G! I

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.! F# B* R4 Z2 P
( l1 S0 v+ \; g" U0 w! ySkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
