Police arrest two men after complaint of smelly truck carrying 1,500 pot plants

EDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants." d7 V0 Y7 d8 f9 b

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.. U1 s: d8 s1 K& y
# i, P, I$ u' G4 B4 x5 tOfficers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.; T( E8 n* B: [8 E
; x% y# b4 Y! `# @5 k; \Roughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
