Duties: Special Events , D$ J; V/ e A( Q( c
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 2 D) y& @6 o8 ?) t2 d
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
8 |. H4 N) |7 p1 @4 L0 Z7 g2 ~4 v8 }; v, N· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
0 W, k! O% [8 j Owith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
3 Y# j9 ^; P- B4 Fadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure - M: X' `3 |" F
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 9 p6 E5 G% E/ y% G- J
· Attend and manage Special Events

, K, }' S& B% q: z; t. HAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:

& a* z( x4 A% | b: j2 c9 e; g· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
( i" x- ~ E2 x, {/ J· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 3 Y7 M8 v9 Z/ @! T6 j: n5 s
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 4 p, V; {2 D& C7 T) `+ O/ f
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

* j, M C3 j3 | Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation % w. ^6 N5 P1 Y0 p
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
1 Z) b* d- e* `& b7 s& I4 S· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
: e5 l( @& w) J; _" t' L ^experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
, O+ G- R" {9 o3 z8 U· Experience working with and managing volunteers
+ }! @5 \/ O. A# w3 l· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
& a) {4 L2 O, }1 X( M: |, W- N2 Y· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events

· Security Clearance
