Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

4 i9 Z5 q4 w8 m- J7 M. hPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
6 D2 R- u' I0 \ k4 s6 c· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
. U; ~( a' h4 I: d· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist ) c- I; g4 L8 b. I# |6 J) H4 V* J3 T8 v
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the 6 i' v3 l$ S1 ^' d M: p
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
% n* _' k C1 y5 M0 |set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 2 f/ @6 t' m5 g+ y# T% a2 f
· Attend and manage Special Events

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
& X7 M. b$ \. I& j5 {) o; MAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
0 i9 c( I; {- A7 [, ~' y8 G: w2 u$ U· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
" ~0 [ ]+ M/ Q. w+ f# Q/ P9 W. W· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
7 F% I4 U2 I+ \5 C& l· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
% G& K! O* H+ A$ b· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
5 k/ t$ y0 R' q) c C$ |4 ]· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications: 0 N" r+ I3 |. ?1 D. G* ?
· Completion of 12th
`9 n. P2 d/ K Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
$ N; N, O1 N, j0 e3 _" w+ H) ?Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
7 Q% Q# B& T2 @1 ?6 b9 S· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct ! t8 g! W# L4 `, v- d
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events . h9 m* V) |2 B) m. H
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
" J8 y+ c. S& S) O) C/ z( R· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 4 C2 F; D1 F* @2 s {
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 8 ^7 n2 W$ [" d! J, [: i
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training . ?% \7 u) c0 F' {% |4 ~
· Security Clearance ! V) _1 w, g& v, X
! P( |9 D9 V d( ]+ g* UHours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work , m3 O9 m; g; x, t

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
