Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
# ~ x5 l: L$ G· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
( ^$ D- {2 _5 O· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
& P/ f6 S! k& u+ m+ ^6 H+ `with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
4 W# F0 V/ {8 m$ kadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
/ a) l! Q* j, l, t5 ~' L3 ]" I dset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. ! t* e8 L) P( e# j0 S
· Attend and manage Special Events

Duties: Volunteer Coordination 0 A+ s/ s$ d" {3 \# ~2 s
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
) V- E- Q/ E4 X% \# Q· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
* g! s; \6 K+ O ~; Z9 e2 }7 K· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 7 D3 @$ p# k; k% o- b. m- X! q
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
* u. {! x$ A' {+ Y' N- y; {0 L· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers # E: q+ P2 ^+ D5 T2 l: ]6 Q- B8 }2 R
· Complete program administration, statistics and records $ Q2 l8 `$ Z" [: m
8 E$ f: b, J/ UQualifications: 4 U$ A3 o5 R6 X
· Completion of 12th, W; S* v' l: V
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation ' l C% m: J; p* \5 ~8 ~/ p v7 Y
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
t! G& A# O3 z; O4 G2 e· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
4 Q( T, X0 ?2 fexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
. b. ?8 \# |$ `( I· Experience working with and managing volunteers
8 C, K" x9 I9 T· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
* w9 Z. _* e$ D$ L% r( a2 S% k) Y7 E· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
" ^1 j; d/ T/ V' \+ ~- j& z+ k· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training 8 v5 }9 e- M; u& K9 Q2 U: m

Hours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work 5 h" V4 V" H& n( V7 D0 I
