Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: ' u4 b+ ?8 g& c1 q6 c

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
0 P9 m, |6 ~+ _0 M! \7 I· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
7 ?) k J( F, y5 H; L5 H3 _3 ^· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
! K7 f3 l0 S* w# V4 vwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the : R. S/ ?! \9 t. L7 ]9 O
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 7 m9 @3 d; c! k# D
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
) i: K$ b; s0 n6 Q· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 1 Y/ n0 M( M: A* Q9 i5 Q+ Q' J8 `
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
+ `, P' Y1 U2 J+ f' F· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers ' `% V* B0 Q( W9 V; y6 ]' ~
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

% h R6 N9 ~. _! X2 OQualifications: % W" O: P2 a# x% R& v
· Completion of 12th
$ I1 F& R6 A( q3 P. H# j. }/ ~8 X9 H Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
* h) n9 p6 k3 Z2 k& xAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 8 D+ B( i8 D G6 T# g; L; ~
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
) d1 D4 n S. g3 W) n) Uexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events ! e. U* ?1 j, _/ P! x: R1 W1 h
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
# [7 E% n) ]- T5 n4 [· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training % a( J5 r3 ?9 t5 }
