* Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory* i% n& r) \' F% I
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr
8 d) P/ T6 V9 o: k9 c# _" B! F$ w * Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps
8 F, {; U( f! q. c' H. ]6 H/ m/ ? * Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations

* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred
4 Y7 I+ ~; w' {# S * Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation( n: S3 r( q5 ?* v" o
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers. ?$ J9 i( q) E6 Q) Q9 D. V7 y, W
* WHMIS training; k, A5 ?, ]$ J- O# o; B" X
* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset2 c7 v8 R0 B" E/ b
