Duties
& A- u, C' ], Z8 y
/ Z+ X' {( J" ^/ \; M7 j7 } * Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory
6 p& T, c& w+ U) I * Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr; e) \) q; X4 c3 ]
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps
) \. u- i7 l# Z * Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations, ]# i, B& v% T) @& w
* Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations

* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred$ f9 i4 j; V1 B0 g# |3 f- Q
* Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation9 s% o2 ~* x' V/ d5 X
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers

* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset1 L" L$ l$ _( a: O6 h4 e }
