The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.7 e% O4 W9 y4 K: w; R6 f L

Reception
( ?: T4 I9 y" W& h• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors4 V5 Z/ f+ X8 D
• Answer multi line telephone system3 V3 U+ i5 Z9 D1 E5 X
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
( F4 F& N( u6 p1 Q' |, U' ^• Arrange courier services for all departments0 E2 x X" q; p( u. u
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers- Q! z3 m$ \, D- w

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency 5 G! [( b! {3 x8 Z0 d' f
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration& I4 U' s! I0 Q' s) F2 J
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers 4 M0 q* y: x+ ~0 F$ d
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
4 h8 @! Q2 t" m) e( S: \2 U7 G; \" A• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
) f2 T3 c# M! T s) Y& c7 V• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.# U( O6 \9 w6 [% Y/ C" S
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset3 X. u- Y" V6 A) `+ c) Y! C
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills # K1 o' k1 T% w& M9 u9 x0 l
• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion. e! q9 i# I4 ^7 }* g
