Receptionist

The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.5 @( H! y& X/ C

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors
. @6 n' x- m, k8 `. j( c• Answer multi line telephone system" P* h1 L7 u# I
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
! d$ Y& `1 V0 z' A. G* R& t [• Arrange courier services for all departments' m8 d; n$ d; w0 M
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

Administration% N9 V, _& c. }
• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

- U z X! k, U' p7 j1 b$ I' Y• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency 6 M4 M$ h" @6 [8 w9 y
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration4 U( p8 U2 |2 J/ G. n% Y
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers & l+ B0 o# o! n* R
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution" u1 @2 J1 D. K+ W+ J+ x
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments 7 s" Z/ s8 W' E6 e9 @3 C7 ]
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
s5 [9 r/ P' M: F( A• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.4 J9 |/ E) S. K4 }
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset8 [0 u& k) P8 c5 N" w2 h
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills : t+ C- P [0 `, r3 ]$ M. G0 H

• Strong customer-service skills
