The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors

• Arrange courier services for all departments; B" p8 v0 e6 C6 n
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

Administration
& A8 l; _& ]# g" f" f8 E9 ~3 T• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

: C6 Z2 P& L2 e0 |9 J2 q• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency ~3 ?; h6 g) @. G8 A+ Q+ x
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration. ?; Y$ ~& P+ N
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers / p. C1 j$ q& x
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution4 G3 Y" c) V" z- Z' w6 v
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training5 M+ U6 [% f- p; t
• Process payments for ticket orders and registrations

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
' l: o' j* p9 m1 y* V% }• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.' g; E2 [6 _5 j% F" z3 V
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
; Y3 G" G; A' k• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
