Key Responsibilities Include:- e( m$ T+ R$ w) s
Activity Planning and Daily Activity# U# F! Q& R) [& }- Y
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.% `8 F+ s# G! ^
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. * Y' ~8 o8 k y! S5 O1 H
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
+ _ ^3 F# J! S* R/ l• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
5 V% S7 D0 E# M( X7 w* B• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.' s! F6 `5 M( d
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.: X1 e$ ^3 E0 t2 [: N4 ]* Y
# v9 x2 {; q R5 AThe successful candidate will have:
9 n5 J6 |( J$ z( V! X6 \• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting% I2 T n0 j1 r5 O3 [9 x8 k# E
• Experience with children( p4 J9 f& @, c" _/ G7 a. a4 i7 v
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
) O+ h' L/ m& ?7 e- u• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
P z# I( I7 B9 H4 X5 H# z" r• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
' h0 m" q2 a3 H• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
; f# {+ X( l1 q. c K1 C• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check ) W2 L3 c6 ?; N
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
