2 y. `5 r$ ~( |- U+ v" w5 n# g( ]Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

& P* I  n; y6 h* R7 T# wKey Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
9 v: A! f3 j  v" m9 S2 d& T•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
: f4 s8 Y# ^6 V) c4 I•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
2 |+ e# x( ]; x# j•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

/ _% N5 D6 l3 Q' U•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
* M( X0 S# f4 j, H1 |& _8 \) O8 N* N•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
! m  y+ U- B: |6 r* J( X8 A•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
2 v0 {) C) h2 E% D) {2 G5 L3 p4 l•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
$ Y( W, X' m1 w3 g8 `3 q' J2 Y* u2 x& Z•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
0 v1 \4 B4 D4 U•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
