* U' E1 H. s3 W9 @0 Y- X8 rBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

) r2 t) Q8 }  _6 k2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

! S4 Q, I; Z4 U3 }Key Responsibilities Include
0 a& n% ^* A+ t& p4 l" u3 iActivity Planning and Daily Activity
0 A. R+ `, j8 y5 `' ~% y3 j•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
" j- h4 f3 J: }; q% i•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
$ u3 N! ]& E" F8 p•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
: d* ?, J' E! e; X' x& v•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
" C3 k% g" T- n  W: _7 u6 f9 H- r5 O5 X•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
