* T- Q& l9 [3 p8 c. a$ ], `Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

& l! N6 m+ v/ |5 B# |  A2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
% g+ z3 i3 u' {(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

5 ]2 Q$ M- }8 T  J; q0 |Key Responsibilities Include
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
; a* g. M0 H$ a' L  Z& W& _/ U•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
6 n8 W" t$ m6 U•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting

; e/ ?: Z% ?3 ^; _; N. T2 i•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
' ]+ V- N" g* `" C4 T# }/ N" N% a+ [•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
