Responsibilities:

% D6 b/ G" m5 M# r7 P% P8 R2 BPerforming product upgrade activities in the Production environment
5 {0 g2 b. c$ I3 c& J, t6 KParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
: u2 i7 M3 K( }8 M. nPerforming changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
" p* t5 n" }$ o6 ^Troubleshooting production issues
; X8 r2 s$ O( _, S. u  bParticipating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
* \" [% E  I8 n% Z* C) mMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
5 D" w1 v; ]3 Z7 h3 ?Developing tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

General:
Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
# t" `" I$ U" x5 Z: qExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
' z4 y( U; H; dDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
Strong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
: _8 k# O+ W! _2 j- r4 X: n. kStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
/ S3 Y+ }: m2 l. R+ xTechnical:
Required:
- U- z# W& g) C+ P  v" M$ Z3 gExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
Strong SQL skills
