Specifically, this resource will be required to have experience in setting up, administrating, and managing very large industrial configurations (i.e., large number of servers and environments as well as multi-process servers).
' G, B% I8 U: A* P7 c; {Administration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment. / f- q+ U9 u t' I1 `
Candidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes.
8 B+ U# U5 h/ bMaintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software. F( _& H# J* J' y% r i. @
Maintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter. m* C. D7 a! p9 j4 k
Working with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained.
- B' f3 t% l; S6 S. FEnsuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes.
; |& b" N N2 Z: k/ Q# x8 G3 ]Help implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications. $ d f' B! C: v: Z( B
"MUST HAVE" SKILLS: 5 I# p7 l4 m6 U; m
Thorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux ) [, E9 h% j; H4 |
Strong IBM SAN configurations experience . g j6 K1 x! _! K
Experience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases. $ n) c# W3 n* _" Q6 @' I
Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability.
