Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

- Organize focus group(s)
; T4 k9 P" o) }4 k7 L& p- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
0 p# |3 F; G$ e- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
* L: s  a  n0 N) P- Find sponsors to enhance program
+ _5 H6 Z) S: ~" c' Q- Supervise volunteer(s)
% g* _! \: s; x* m' |7 o2 A- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
7 S% Z8 ?' S. x- \$ M
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
! M% O) x2 F9 d7 I5 l& X- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
) f8 I5 p( ^) i- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
3 W: I7 A- q/ ^. }! z- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
4 ?$ P$ R7 X: M- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
