OTTAWA (AFP) — The number of people infected with swine flu in Canada rose to eight Tuesday, after health officials confirmed two cases in the western province of Alberta.

; u4 t1 \ L0 D/ @1 c. A! R"Two cases of human swine influenza have been confirmed in Alberta -- one in Calgary and the other in northern Alberta," said Dr Andre Corriveau, Alberta's chief medical officer for health matters, in a statement.- I5 m# K8 @7 ]% s! q* [. b( S; G

"Both individuals are male and have experienced a mild form of human swine flu," Corriveau said, adding that one of the patients already had fully recovered, while the other was nearly better.
